Add the theme block, then set up a custom product.
1. Save a product
Create or open a product in ProductStudio and Save. Saving creates the Shopify product and tags it.
2. Add to theme
Click Add to theme. That opens the theme editor with the ProductStudio block already added on the product template.
3. Save the theme
Position the block where the designer should sit, then Save the theme.
4. View on your store
Open the product on your store and check the designer.
Open ProductStudio from Shopify admin to add the block to this shop's theme. Add to theme opens https://{shop}/admin/themes/current/editor?template=product&addAppBlockId=b8ad1d424db9ea51a4292e5678ad0e62/designer&target=mainSection.
The block hides the theme’s buy buttons on products tagged by ProductStudio. Customization shows only on products created in ProductStudio.

1. Create a product
Home starts with New product. That opens the editor for one shirt.
2. Add sides
Product images starts with Add side. Name it Front or Back, then Add image for as many pictures as that view needs. A thumbnail is for cards and listings.
3. Arrange images
Each image is locked. Unlock it to drag it. Arrows change the stack. The eye hides it while you edit. Removing a side asks you to confirm.
4. Measure the print area
Enter the picture width in inches, or draw a reference line and type its real length. Rectangles on that view use that scale. You can also type a rectangle's width and height in inches.
5. Turn on elements
Elements lists Text, Image, Color, Sizes, and Notes. Each one you add becomes its own tab in the customer designer. Text lists every block by side. Add a shirt color from the preview's Color tab. Customers never see Add color.
6. Set a price
Pricing holds the base price, bulk breaks, and extras for text and uploaded images. Each shirt adds that charge to every shirt that uses the element. Each placement adds it once for every text block or image on any side, and more shirts do not multiply a placement charge. Add to cart keeps the shirt at its base price and adds a hidden Design fee line for those extras, with a Pricing note that lists each side and each charge. The cart and the checkout total include that fee. A quantity break still opens a priced checkout instead, with the same fee lines. This uses a normal product variant, so it works on stores that are not on Shopify Plus. Cart Transform price updates are Plus-only, so they are not used.
7. Display width
The product Settings tab, under Pricing, chooses how wide the customer designer is, up to the full width of the frame.
